Dr. Wesley E. Wayne Cowan was born in Springfield, Missouri. His aptitude for Veterinary Medicine began at the young age of 12 when he acquired a position as a general assistant for Dr. C. C. Moore at Springfield Animal Hospital.

After graduating from Springfield Central High School in 1983, with both academic and athletic honors while serving as the student body president, he attended both Southwest Missouri State University (SMSU) and Central Methodist College. While participating in both of their football programs, and continuing to work for the local veterinary facilities, he earned his Animal Science (BS) degree and graduated from SMSU with Cum Ladue status in the spring of 1989.  

Dr. Cowan has enjoyed both mixed and small animal practice in the Kansas City area since 1994 and opened Premier Veterinary Care on October 31, 2018. 

Kristy has worked for over 15 years in the customer service field and has a lifelong love of animals. Her favorite parts of her job are greeting clients and patients and assisting the technicians with patients. Kristy has six children, two dogs - Petey and Princess, four chickens - Sunny, Stormy, Fluffy and Peeps, and a cat named Grover. Some of her favorite activities are spending time with family and pets, camping, the outdoors, weight training and baking/cooking.
